Inez and Diederik
Solar do Paço | 06.05.2024
This love story was written in Portuguese and translated into Dutch, the two languages that intertwine the lives and ancestors of the bride and groom. At this ceremony, the groom’s sister was a precious help and read the Dutch portion of the text. It was such a beautiful ceremony, full of light and love, in a romantic setting in the Algarve.
“Overall, we’re super happy with the end result of the ceremony! It was exactly how we had envisioned it. A big thank you as well for being so flexible with the Portuguese/Dutch ceremony. It was important for us to have both languages and your flexibility and openness to do it this way was a big bonus!
Preparation phase: The first online meeting we had with you was lovely! You were so nice and really helped to guide the preparation phase and the meeting. This made us feel at ease and also made us confident that you knew what you were doing. The first draft you provided for us was already almost perfect! If we remember correctly, we only had a few minor adjustments to make.
Ceremony on the day itself: Firstly, the cute message you sent via Whatsapp on the morning of the wedding was very nice. It helped with the nerves and made us really look forward to the ceremony. Of course, it was also nice to (finally) meet you in person on that day. If we’re allowed to say: you also looked beautiful. Very tasteful and your color choice of dress was perfect for our day! Your voice is also a big bonus: you spoke so calmly and clearly, that even Diederik was able to understand sections of the Portuguese parts. Thank you as well for preparing the document that we and our sisters could sign. We also noticed that you had printed out your text on beautiful pieces of paper/cardboard – this looked very professional. The PT/NL switch between you and Diederik’s sister, Claudia, was also flawless. You two did very well working together!”
